Twitter Launches Blue For Company With Square Profile Photos

Twitter is releasing Blue For Business, a brand-new variation of Blue Verified developed to differentiate brand accounts from individual accounts.

In addition to a gold checkmark, Blue For Company includes a square profile photo and the ability to connect any associated Twitter accounts.

When organization accounts designate their associated accounts, such as individual Twitter accounts of workers, the affiliate gets an additional badge next to their verified checkmark.

The image at the top of this page shows an example of a Twitter worker’s account, which has a blue checkmark and a badge with Twitter’s logo.

In a post, Twitter offers various examples of how brands can utilize Blue For Organization:

“By producing this connection, we’re making it possible for companies to create networks within their own companies– on Twitter. Organizations can affiliate their management, brand names, assistance deals with, workers or teams. Reporters, sports team players or motion picture characters can all be connected. You name it, we got it. Each affiliate will be validated and officially connected to their parent manage based on a list provided by the moms and dad business. We will share any brand-new requirements, rates or process as we update them.”

No matter how Twitter attempts to spin it, there’s little doubt that Blue For Company is developed to sell more subscriptions.

If your brand and its affiliates are at risk of impersonation on Twitter, having actually everyone verified and connected under the exact same parent account might be worthwhile.

Nevertheless, without more information, it isn’t simple to measure this service’s worth to companies.

To that end, we do not understand just how much it will cost services, as signups aren’t open yet.

Twitter is piloting Blue For Businesses with select accounts and will make the service broadly available next year.
